It started out as another chilly day but at least it wasn't raining. The temperature did warm up considerably by mid morning under a near cloudless sky. Let's hope Fair week is like this.

There are several rides that are completely set up and some that are close. However, there are a couple that have just begun to be set up and at least one that hasn't even started yet. The ones that are completed are the Fireball, Wild Claw, Starship 2000, Pharoah's Fury, Power Surge, Cliff Hanger, Sizzler, and some kiddie rides. The ones that are close are the Scooters, Tilt-A-Whirl, Scream 2, and Moscow Circus. The ones that need some work yet are the Super Himalaya, Zipper, and Sling Shot. Cuckoo Haus hasn't been started yet and it looks like the Gentle Giant hasn't had anything done to it yet either.

Time was spent scrubbing and hosing down the rides to ensure they look their best for Friday. Someone must have forgot to tell them it is guarenteed to rain. Well, at least they'll look good until then. Those that weren't erecting a ride spent a large part of the day performing this task.
The Wall of Death is back this year. In the picture above you can see that it's foundation has been laid out and it won't be long until the wall is built.

Kiddie Land on the west end of the grounds is taking shape as well. There are several rides up and those that aren't should be by tonight.
My next report will be posted Wednesday night. Until then remember Fair is right around the corner! I can hardly wait!
