Hello everyone. Today started out cold but soon warmed up nicely, allowing for a great day to set up the various stands that will make up the 2007 Bloomsburg Fair. Hopefully the weather next week will be just as nice.

The rides started arriving early this morning and have been trickling in ever since. Most moved right into their designated places while a few waited in the parking lot so they wouldn't be in the way. Once parked, the workers got some much needed sleep before beginning the task of setting up.

There are some different rides this year. In the big section is a ride called Storm. I can't wait to see what it does. Judging by the theme, it appears to simulate being in a tornado. Also, back after more than 10 years, the Orbitor is an old favorite of mine. There are also several different kiddie rides, such as Castle Mania in Kiddie Land and a small carrousel in with the big rides. Here is the complete ride list:

Today was opening day for two food stands on the grounds. Grandma Edwards on the east end and Heap's Dinner Stand near the paddock on the west end. Heap's is celebrating their 60th year at the fair. These two stands will be open all week as a convience for the workers and anyone else who happens to be hungry.
My next report will be posted tomorrow. I hope to begin the progressive reports soon. Be sure to check out the video and pictures of the day. Also, remember that if there is anything you would like me to report on just email me and I will see what I can do to accommodate.
