Hello everyone. Today looked rather threatening for most of the day but we lucked out and didn't get any rain. It cleared up and the sun came out towards nightfall. After dark, lightning could be seen in the distance. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler with a greater chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Let's hope they miss us.

The attendance for yesterday was 44,494. The threat of rain seemed to scare a lot of people, keeping them away from the fair. I think the attendance was down quite a bit from yesterday.

If you're at near the Bandshell when the Ridgeway and Johnson - Grand Illusion & Escape Show is going on you should definitely check it out. You will be amazed by the show they put on. On the Millennium Hall Stage you can find the Big Tiny Young Show, a one man band.

For those of you who would like to get a fair collectable such as a shirt, hat, or one of the many other items available there are several stands set up throughout the fairgrounds. Their locations are inside gate 5, gate 3, near the fair office on the west end of the track, and I think there's one under the grandstand.

There were a lot of people riding the rides today. The ride sections stayed crowded most all of the day and evening. Tomorrow is P.O.P. (Pay One Price) day. $17 with coupon or $19 without will get you a wristband that allows you to ride all day. Friday is another P.O.P. day but only until 7:00 p.m. Remember, the Speed ride is not included in the special offer. If you want to ride that you will have to cough up $10 for a special ticket or 12 regular ride tickets.
My next report will be posted tomorrow. I hope to begin the progressive reports soon. Be sure to check out the video and pictures of the day. Also, remember that if there is anything you would like me to report on just email me and I will see what I can do to accommodate.
