Hello everyone. Today was the end of our lucky streak of good weather. The storms stayed away for most of the day but we did get a quick passing shower before nightfall. That wasn't too bad but what we got hit with just before 8:00 p.m. was downright nasty. Tomorrow is supposed to be cool with the chance of some passing showers early.

The attendance for yesterday was 38,738. There were some brave souls who didn't let a little rain keep them away. Attendance today seemed pretty low due to the threat of the bad weather.

There is entertainment to be found everywhere you go. The musicians pictured above can usually be found near Kiddie Land although they do move around on the grounds. Michael Blaine is back this year, hypnotizing more people. He will be performing all week on both stages.

Joe Nichols put on a great show as he opened for Charlie Daniels tonight. Unfortunately the torential downpour hit part way through the show. However, the show did go on.

The west end of the fairgrounds right inside gate 3 features a large section of old tractors on display with information about each. There are you common John Deer and Minnisota Moline's as well as your hard to find and just plain unusual ones such as the Allis Chambers with the engine in the rear and the kerosene fueled International, both pictured above. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out.

While you're in the area of Kiddie Land, check out the Barton House. It was built where it stands in 1855. The owner, Caleb Barton, leased 12 acres to enable the first Bloomsburg Fair. The Barton House is open for touring from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. due to lack of electricity.

There were a lot of people taking advantage of the P.O.P. deal for the rides today. The ride sections stayed crowded most all of the day and evening. Tomorrow is the last P.O.P. (Pay One Price) day. $17 with coupon or $19 without will get you a wristband that allows you to ride until 7:00 p.m. Remember, the Speed ride is not included in the special offer. If you want to ride that you will have to cough up $10 for a special ticket or 12 regular ride tickets.
My next report will be posted tomorrow. I hope to begin the progressive reports soon. Be sure to check out the video and pictures of the day. Also, remember that if there is anything you would like me to report on just email me and I will see what I can do to accommodate.
