Hello, my name is Harriet and this will be my 6th year as the midway reporter. I was raised on the outskirts of Bloomsburg but now live in town and have been going to the fair for as long as I can remember.
My favorite things about the fair have always been the rides and the people. It's amazing how something the size and shape of a tractor trailer box can turn into a thrilling ride in the matter of hours. I have made several friends over the years and look forward to seeing them again as well as meeting new people this year.
One of my favorite memories from the fair is when I was little and was at the fair with my parents. It was late and most things were closed up for the last night of fair and as we were walking towards the Magee entrance I glanced back across the infield and the moon was so huge it looked like it was the backdrop to a quarter of the fairgrounds. I wish I'd had a camera with me. I've never seen it that big since.
Well, enough about me. Time to do some reporting!
