Thunder Bolt

This ride is my favorite. It has 18 cars and can hold 36 adults or 54 children with a minimum height requirement of 48 inches to ride alone. It is set at a maximum of 18 revolutions per minute. This ride goes forward and backward while the cars rock toward the outside of the ride giving you the sensation that you will flip. However, this is not possible because of the bumpers that are on the sweeps (those are the blue arms that stick out from the center of the ride that the cars are fastened to). The lights on the ride go through a cycle which is controlled by a little computer which is mounted on the wall of the control booth. The ride is trailer mounted but requires an additional trailer to carry the cars, fence, and scenery. This ride has been with Reithoffer's for a very long time but it has not been at the fair for two years. I am glad that it's back.
